A Simple world

Life sure has gotten a whole lot busier lately, and complicated and that makes me wonder, is it worth it.I wonder whatever happened to the simple pleasures of sitting on the terrace on a beautiful day staring at the clouds making up tales. I know i sound like an old geezer whining but frankly sometimes i think in our pursuit for happiness, we have forgotten what it truly is.

Just the other day, my mother and i started sorting our albums and while going through those pictures, while lost in nostalgic memories of my childhood that i wondered where that simplicity had gone. I started wondering why we talk using a mobile to a friend who lives nearby instead of just dropping by like we used to and why we end up talking more with people we barely know ( read business contacts ) than to our own family members. Why education has become more about accumulating tags instead of actually learning something.

I think that its about time we all took a timeout to think about what we wanted our life to be and what it's become. Use this time to let the kid in us come out and bring life back down to what it was. A life where finding time to lie down on the terrace to stare at the clouds isn't a luxury.
A life where we can actually sit and talk without a worrying about what we have to do next.
